Plotting the route to the future

An initiative by TrustedHub

A Thinkathon for the future of AI.

We bring sharp minds together to imagine where AI is taking us — and to steer it on purpose, before it steers us. Hack to the Future is our recurring Thinkathon series.

01
The Mission

We're hacking our way to a future we choose.

We look as far ahead as we can, so society can position itself to seize new opportunities and adapt — instead of watching them get taken away.

We also want to disrupt a few capitalistic defaults along the way: AI that minimises fraud and bias, reduces exploitation, and works for the many. We shape the future with AI intentionally — we don't let it shape us.

Past Event · 2025

If AI can run an insurer, what else can it run?

Our first Thinkathon — a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Temasek Polytechnic's School of Informatics & IT. We handed the controls of a virtual insurance company to student-built AI agents, and watched what happened.

Why insurance? It balances growth, fairness, risk and trust all at once — a miniature model of almost every modern organisation.

Key Findings

Three things the machines taught us.

  • 1AI reinvents business models — it doesn't just automate them, it redesigns them entirely.
  • 2Autonomy is unpredictable — tiny changes in instruction produced wildly different companies.
  • 3Governance is not optional — the strongest teams built the most trustworthy system, not the smartest AI.
04
What's Next

Where should AI run next?

Insurance was just the first model. Next we want to pressure-test the industries that shape everyday life — and ask the hard questions before AI answers them for us.
